Body Awareness Playing the Ego How About Stage Fright

MUSIC is balancing and provoking at the same time.

Some people in this world are making music for high purposes. They are channelling sounds that energize audiences, and they even inspire for working on personal growth and for the good of the others. Damjana Zupan’s vision is to enable such musicians special attention and care – likewise in sports, where each potential winner is surrounded by a supportive team.

For several years now, Damjana has been doing pioneering work by assisting musicians who aim for efficiency and excellence in music making and performing. She is encouraging people to search for the best quality sound and to increase technical skills, as well as commitment and passion for playing. At the same time, one can learn how to avoid harmful consequences such as nervousness, fatigue, pain, injuries and other health issues. In her holistic view, she sees each component of the interaction musician(s) – instrument – audience – environment as equally important.

In individual coaching and workshops, Damjana challenges musicians by offering them a variety of techniques – from body awareness and meditation to creative visualization. When working with groups, her approach is similar to the functioning in an orchestra – first she makes sure that everyone resonates with the group. Furthermore, tuning in with the self and mutual trust stimulate feelings of confidence. And those who dare are rewarded – they realize that there may be no limits in music making.

It is important to work amongst creative people who are dedicated to their work. As an event organizer, she is capable of uniting people who are top specialists of various professions. If given the chance, she is gathering them from all over the world.

“It is all about music and harmony. After all, they both can heal and unite.”

Food For Thought

"I look at the good. When you are relaxed, your body is always relaxed. When you are pessimistic, your body behaves in an unnatural way. It is up to us whether we look at the good or the bad. When you are nice to others, they are nice to you. When you give, you receive."
